“In my experience the true ethos of a company stems from the attitude of those at the top and thereafter filters down through its employees; therefore it’s logical that if the approach and attitude of those at the very top of the organisation is flawed this will more than likely translate into failure at the coal face.

For this reason alone I believe that my managers and I should lead by example.

In terms of a commercial strategy I believe that this fundamental aspect of the business is well understood amongst my team.

To remain successful we firstly need to take care of our existing customers and serve them well on a consistent basis.

Beyond this all important first step we need to attract new customers that not only recognize quality and innovation but are also open to the formation of mutually beneficial long term partnerships that place quality, service levels and trust alongside the all important issue of price.

Equally and in return, Special Wear must continue to pioneer new products and explore supply chain excellence to ensure that the best possible value for its customers is achieved on a continuous basis.

Special Wear must also demonstrate fair trade with its established portfolio of trusted suppliers and be environmentally and socially responsible across the range of its business activities throughout the world.

I feel confident that our hands on approach ensures continuity and reinforces trust amongst our customers and suppliers alike; I still believe that in this modern age our customers seek a personal level of service and want to feel valued; this is exactly what we aim to achieve on a daily basis and this is most certainly supported by me and understood by my Team without question”.
